BMW Club Auto Rally – Prairie tour (Date Changed)
Description
NOTE: This event has moved to October 9th, 2010.
This one day event involves a course in and around Edmonton. The competition will comprise the following 7 classes: BMW 1 & 3 series; 5 series; 6, 7 & 8 series; M class; X class; "Other BMW Models" class; plus an "Other Makes" class. (Classes/categories may change depending on the amount of entries.) Winners in each class of vehicles will be determined by points allotment to different rally components, including an initial vehicle judging upon registration. Points will also be allotted to vehicles with the best fuel efficiency, the acquisition of scavenger hunt type items, the fastest vehicles in each class that finish the rally. The route will be 200 kms at most. One vehicle per team and team members must ride in the same vehicle. The registration fee is $10 per team and sign up is via the Club's website (www.nabmwclub.ca) using the link to Karelo. The cost for registering late, on the rally day, is $15 per team. All registration fees go toward prizes in each class. The cost of the buffet dinner is per person and can be paid to the GCCA at dinner time.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Upon checking in on the rally day, all teams must bring their own operable digital camera capable of storing and clearly displaying at least 6 photographs; all vehicles must start with full gas tanks; team vehicles must be ready for a "Show & Shine" type judging.
